Move Dance 2019 Highlights

One of our favourite things about the end of the year is to look back on everything we’ve accomplished over the last 12 months, and 2019 has been a huge year for us! From hitting 10K followers on Instagram to our two biggest own brand launches ever, 2019 is definitely a year to celebrate!

10K Followers on Instagram

In July this year, we hit 10,000 followers on our Instagram account! To celebrate we hosted our biggest giveaway ever, the chance to win a complete look to head to class in - a leotard, tights, ballet shoes, a wrap skirt and a bag! We included each item in a video and asked our followers to comment with which type of Instagram posts they love seeing from us! Not following us yet? You’re missing out!

Weissman Costumes

October brought our launch of Weissman Costumes on Move Dance. We are now the exclusive distributor of Weissman Costumes across Europe with over 500 dance costumes on our website. We also offer exclusive discount if you sign up to our website with a teacher account.

Working with Bethany Kingsley-Garner

Working with Bethany Kingsley-Garner, Principal Ballerina at Scottish Ballet was a huge highlight of the year! We went to Scottish Ballet in Glasgow to film a day in the life-style video with Bethany showcasing our new Move Dance Isla Collection. Not only did she feature in our collection campaign but we also carried out an interview with Bethany all about her dancing journey and how she fell in love with dance. You can read the blog here.

Move Dance Empower Collection

In October, we launched our Move Dance Empower Collection This sporty, fitness-inspired collection was one of our biggest launches. Alongside the creative photoshoot at The Hammond School in Chester, we also shot a video which focused on preparing for an audition wearing the warm up dancewear from the collection, then the audition room with the dancers wearing the Move Dance Empower Collection leotards. Move Dance Isla Collection

November brought us our second big Move Dance launch, our Move Dance Isla Collection. This was the collection where we had worked with Bethany Kingsley-Garner, Principal Ballerina at Scottish Ballet, to produce a video and a photoshoot for the collection. The video campaign is based around Bethany’s day to day life working at Scottish Ballet. You can watch the video below.

Yearbook 2019

In Summer we asked you to send in your favourite images of yourselves dancing to feature in this year’s yearbook. Yet again we were flooded with hundreds of incredible dance images from you, our Move Dance customers. We loved so many of your photos, and it was so hard to choose just 50 for the yearbook!
