Weissman is a family-owned American costume and dancewear company, celebrating over 60 years in business! All products are imagined, designed and developed at their St. Louis, Missouri headquarters with many products made in their U.S. factory.

What is the ordering process?

Ordering Weissman costumes is as easy as can-be with these 4 simple steps:
 
    1. Browse the styles
      Whether you know exactly what you’re looking for or you need some costume inspo, you can browse through our full range of costumes online - or if you’re a Dance Teacher you can request a catalogue to flick through at the studio!

    2. Measure up
      Once you’ve found the perfect costume to compliment your routine, it’s time to measure up the dancers!

    3. Place the order
      Now you know quantities, sizes and colours, you’re ready to place the order! You can do this by shopping online, or if you would prefer to speak to a friendly Customer Service advisor, you can get in touch here.

      Due to the huge range of costumes available, we don’t hold any stock in our Warehouse. Instead, when you place an order with us, the costumes are ordered and shipped from Weissman’s warehouse in the US.

      The time it takes from placing your order to the order being dispatched to you, is approximately 20 - 27 days (depending on availability). When you select the required size and colour, you’ll see the available quantity and an estimated dispatch date for that item. (Screenshot below).

      Where costumes are not available with Weissman immediately, you will see an estimated dispatch date further into the future.

    4. Wait for your delivery
      Your order is placed and now all you need to do is sit back and let us do the rest! We’ll send email updates once the costumes have been dispatched - this may be in separate parcels depending on availability.

How do I choose the right size?

When measuring up, we recommend dancers wear undergarments or a lightweight leotard for the most accurate measurements. The tape measure should be snug, but not too tight! If you have a dancer who’s measurements fit into a few different size brackets, we recommend ordering the bigger size and making any alterations where required.

Get the Perfect Fit


Girth – Girth is the most important measurement when determining size! To measure girth, place a tape measure at the top of the shoulder where a leotard strap sits, then down through the crotch and back to the same shoulder. Measuring tape should be close to the body but not tight.

Bust/Chest – Measure over the fullest part of your chest with your arms relaxed at your sides.

Waist – Measure around where your waist naturally indents. Keep your finger between the tape and your belly.

Hips – Measure around the fullest part of the hips and buttocks while standing with your heels together.

Inseam – Measure from the crotch to the bottom. The inseam length is the number of inches, to the nearest half-inch.

I’ve placed an order for Weissman costumes, can I cancel it?

If your plans change and you no longer require the costumes you have ordered, we are happy to cancel these for you. A restocking fee of 15% will be deducted from your refund amount if we have already ordered the costumes from Weissman. If we have not yet placed the order with Weissman, we can cancel your order and refund the full amount paid.

The quickest way to request to cancel your order, is by calling us or starting a web chat. Alternatively, you can send an email via our contact form,  choosing the subject ‘cancel my order’.

What if my costumes are not dispatched on time?

When you order costumes on our site, you will be shown an estimated dispatch date for each style, size and colour. We cannot guarantee the dispatch of your costumes within this estimated timeframe, however, if this is delayed by more than 14 days and you no longer require the costumes, we can waive the restocking fee as a gesture of goodwill.

Can I return Weissman costumes?

Yes, we now accept Teacher returns on Weissman costumes, providing they are sent back in an unused condition with all accessories included. A restocking fee of 15% will apply, which will be deducted from your total refund amount.
 

All returned costumes are inspected by our Returns team on arrival into our warehouse. Any costumes found not to be in a resellable condition will not be accepted. Our Customer Services team will get in touch to arrange the return of the costume at the customer's expense. Failure to respond within 7 days, or refusal to cover the cost of the return, may result in the costume being disposed of or gifted to a Charity of our choosing.

Can I exchange the size of my costumes?
We are more than happy to accommodate size exchanges where required. If you need to replace the costumes you have received where the sizes are unsuitable, you can do so by placing a new order on our website and returning the unsuitable costumes. If you get in touch with our Customer Services team before starting your return, we can waive the restocking fee on your return order.

Please note, we can only remove the fee where costumes are directly replaced with the same style and quantities. If you wish to return and reorder a different costume, the restocking fee will still apply to your return order.

My costume is faulty/incorrect
If you receive a faulty or incorrect costume, please get in touch with our Customer Service team before starting your return, so we can ensure the restocking fee does not get deducted from your refund amount.

What if I have only received part of my order?
If only some of your ordered costumes have been delivered and the rest are still awaiting dispatch, we may be able to waive the restocking fee if you wish to return the items you have already received. If the estimated dispatch date of the remaining costumes has surpassed by more than 14 days, we will allow you to return the costumes you have received (as well as cancel any outstanding costumes) without deducting the 15% restocking fee.
