Introducing Model Josh

Joshua Shanny-Wynter is one of our newest models who we were stunned by when we went scouting for models at LIPA. Do you recognise him? He was actually on Britain's Got Talent a couple of years ago! Everything about Josh oozes grace and beauty, so naturally every pose he goes into looks stunning! Josh has been the face of our re-vamped menswear collection - look out for him on the website! How old are you and where are you from?

I am 20 years old and I’m from London.

Have you graded in any dance styles?

No, I've never been part of any dance schools really so I never took any ISTD exams or anything like. I didn’t know about them.

What’s your favourite dance style?

My favourite dance style would definitely be Contemporary, or a contemporary urban fusion style.

Where are you currently based?

I am currently a student at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and I’m going into my 3rd year in September 2018.

What’s your ideal dance job?

There are many companies I would love to collaborate with and learn from -almost too many to name. Khronos Agoria, Alvin Ailey, Akram Khan, DV8, BoyBlue, Choreo Cookies, Definitives, the list goes on and on and on. I tend to not focus on having one set 'dream job’, I want to do as much as I possibly can. There are different jobs I would love to do in my career - Cruise Ships, Hip Hop theatre, West End, Touring with an artist, to just name a few. There are so many opportunities in the world; I don’t want to be blind to new experiences.

What’s your favourite dance move?

If I had to select a favourite dance move, it would probably be a 540 kick.

Have you modelled before?

I’ve never modelled professionally before, other than for friends' media projects and so on but never professionally.

Who’s your dance icon?

I take inspiration from as many dancers because you can never stop learning.

Do you have a favourite dance routine or song to dance to?

My favourite song to dance to “Akanamali’.

What’s an interesting fact about you?

...I secretly want to be a Hollywood actor.

What’s your fave cheesy party dance?

My favourite party dance has got to be the Old’Skool Running Man.
