What Is The Returns Policy
UK returns are FREE on all eligible items!
How to return items
Inside your parcel, you'll find a dispatch note with a returns section at the bottom. Please fill in the details of which items you wish to send back, including the reason for return, and enclose this with the returning items (ideally in the original packaging). If you have lost or no longer have the returns slip, please enclose a cover note and clearly write your Order ID along with the items you are returning and the reason for return.

You’ll need your Order ID and either your email address or postcode to access the portal.
Returns on all eligible items are free only when a return label is generated via our online portal. We are unable to reimburse any return postage fees where items have been sent back and paid for directly.
If you are trying to return your order outside of the 28 day returns period and the portal will not accept your details, or if you believe you have been sent an incorrect item, please contact us so we can help!
Unfortunately, we do not offer exchanges. If you need to replace an item you have purchased, please return the unwanted item to us for a refund and then place a new order for the required item.
If you have received a faulty or incorrect item, please contact us before sending any items back.

There is no need to pay for a tracked or faster delivery, you can return the items to us using a low cost service, however we strongly advise you to keep a proof of posting, as goods are determined as in your care until they are received into our warehouse.

How long does it take to process a return?
For UK customers, please allow up to 10 working days for us to receive and process your returned item(s). For returns from the EU and Worldwide, please allow up to 20 working days. If you return your order via a priority service, we will not be able to process it as a priority. If you are due a refund, the funds will be available in your account within 3-5 business days from the date we process your return. PayPal funds will clear within 24 hours of processing.
What Items Can You Return?
Eligible items:
- Items in an unworn condition, with labels attached and in original packaging.
- Tights and underwear in its original unopened packaging, not worn or tried on.
- CDs and DVDs must be in their original sealed packaging.
Not eligible for return:
- Items that show signs of visible wear (even through trying on) including make up, deoderant marks and dirt to soles of shoes.
- For hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept tights and underwear if the packaging has been opened.
- Custom made items, including those within the Alegra Shine ranges.
- Face masks
Faulty items:

All genuinely faulty items are eligible for return, regardless of Retail or Teacher customer status or Product category, including custom made orders, underwear, tights or otherwise ineligible items.
Jolista costumes:
- Jolista costumes can be returned for a refund, providing they are unworn with all tags in tact and all components are included.
- If any part of a costume bundle is kept, the bundle discount will be removed and the full price of the individual items will apply.
- For Dance Teacher acount holders, a 15% re-stocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount. This does not apply if a costume is faulty or incorrect.
- The re-stocking fee may also be waived if you are re-ordering the same costume in alternative sizes. Simply contact our Customer Service team in advance to arrange this.
Weissman costumes:
- From Monday 18th August 2025, Dance Teacher account holders are subject to a 30% re-stocking fee when returning Weissman costumes, which will be deducted from your total refund amount. This is due to increased customs tariff charges on goods returned to Weissman in the United States. Returns from orders placed prior to this date will incur the existing 15% re-stocking fee. What Is The Returns Policy?
UK & EU Retail customers
You may return eligible items for a refund within 28 days of receipt of the products (40 days for EU orders). Please check your items are eligible for return and follow the returns process set-out above. Orders where all items are returned within 14 days of receipt are additionally eligible for refund of standard delivery charges (under the Consumer Contract Regulations, formerly Distance Selling Regulations). Please email help@movedancewear.com before sending your items back to request this statutory entitlement. Returns are free for UK customers when a return label is generated via our online portal. For EU customers, the cost of returning unwanted items is borne by you, but you may use our subsidised returns mail services. Faulty items can be returned to us free of charge via the online portal. Incorrect items can also be returned free of charge, but you will need to contact Customer Services beforehand to receive a return postage discount code.
UK & EU Teacher account holders / Wholesale customers
As Dance Teachers making purchases on behalf of schools, pupils and/or for professional use, you acknowledge that supply of goods are a commercial transaction and therefore statutory Consumer Contract Regulations (formerly Distance Selling Regulations) do not apply. For most eligible goods, our policy is to offer refunds within 28 days of receipt (40 days for EU orders). Returns are free for UK Teachers when a return label is generated via our online portal. For EU Teachers, the cost of returning unwanted items is borne by you, but you may use our subsidised returns mail services. Faulty items can be returned to us free of charge via the online portal. Incorrect items can also be returned free of charge, but you will need to contact Customer Services beforehand to receive a return postage discount code. Returns on Jolista costumes will incur a 15% re-stocking fee, which is deducted from the refund amount. The full costume including all components must be returned. Where part of a costume is retained, the bundle discount will be removed and the full price of the individual componenets will apply. As of 18th August 2025, returns on Weissman costumes will incur a 30% re-stocking fee due to increased customs tariff charges on goods returned to Weissman in the United States. Returns from orders placed prior to this date will incur the existing 15% re-stocking fee. Some products are not automatically eligible for return - see items list above.
Worldwide Retail & Teacher Wholesale customers
Statutory distance selling regulations (Consumer Contract Regulations, formerly Distance Selling Regulations) do not apply to orders sending goods outside of the UK & EU. For most eligible goods, our policy is to offer refunds for unwanted goods within 40 days of receipt. The cost of returning unwanted items is borne by you, but you may use our online returns portal where available. Returns costs for faulty or incorrect items will be paid for by us via a refund of reasonable mail costs. Please contact Customer Services before sending faulty or incorrect items back for instructions. For Dance Teacher account holders: Returns on Jolista costumes will incur a 15% re-stocking fee, which is deducted from the refund amount. The full costume including all components must be returned. Where part of a costume is retained, the bundle discount will be removed and the full price of the individual components will apply. As of 18th August 2025, returns on Weissman costumes will incur a 30% re-stocking fee due to increased customs tariff charges on goods returned to Weissman in the United States.
