About the new Sara Mearns Collection

Sara's beautiful new leotards collection is made by So Danca. It's designed with Sara's style, dance passion and personality to help you standout in class whilst feeling your most confident self. There are 4 adult leotards from her collection that we've chosen for dancers who shop at Move Dance and each one is totally unique. Sara wanted to bring her prima style to young dancers, so she's designed a couple of the adult styles in children's sizes with one special leotard that's only for girls. So Danca Mesh Turtleneck Leotard

This leotard is totally standout from the collection for us. Its gorgeous shimmer fabric panels compel us to just stare at this leotard, so just imagine how captivating you'll be when you dance in it! The sophisticated high neck gives a professional finish that we think is just perfect to impress in an audition. Get it in black or purple (we recommend purple because it really comes to life under stage lights).

So Danca Lace Cut Out Camisole Leotard

The Aztec pattern of the lace adds a modern zing to this leotard. Aztec patterns are always fashionable, so it's nice to see Sara bringing a little flourish into the dance world. The slight escalloped edging (or zig-zag trim as we like to call it) creates some sharp shape against your back to really make this leotard different to the rest of your collection.

About Sara Mearns, Principal Dancer of The New York City Ballet

Sara Mearns' dance background originates with her 3-year-old self training with Ann Brodie at the Calvert-Brodie School of Dance. Add on 12 years and Sara began her fulltime training at the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official school of New York City Ballet, which later led to her succession through the company, from corps de ballet right up to her Principal position in 2008. She won the 2018 Bessie Award for Outstanding Performer - we wonder if she'll win an award for outstanding leotards?
