By Move Dance on 31st May 2023

We all know auditions can be tough, whether it's your first or tenth, going into that audition room can be super scary. You want to make sure you feel confident and comfortable so having the right outfit is key! We have put together the ultimate audition outfits to make you feel fabulous and ready to smash that audition. Styles for every genre, all from the brand new Precious Adams collection!

Ballet

If you are going into a ballet audition you want to look classical and elegant. The best outfit for a ballet audition is of course leotard, ballet tights and ballet shoes. Fitted clothes are better as the audition panel will be able to clearly see your technique (leave the warm ups at home!) When selecting your hairstyle, a slick, neat bun is a good option as it will elongate your neck, providing clean lines. Remember to clean those shoes beforehand! Make sure you are wearing your prettiest pair, always read ahead to see if you need your pointe shoes too! With all that in mind we have selected the perfect outfit from the Precious Adam’s collection to get you through your ballet audition and here's what we have chosen..

Move Dance Asteria Sweetheart Leotard

Classy and comfortable, the Asteria is the perfect leotard for an elegant look for an audition.

Move Dance Lourdes Hipster Mesh Skirt

An irresistible style that matches perfectly with the Asteria leotard.. Featuring a panel waistband that sits perfectly on the hips, the short length is perfect for showing off your lines.

Jazz

For a jazz audition you want to stand out from the crowd! Something eye catching and stylish but still fitted to ensure the audition panel can see your technique and form properly. You want to go for a less classical look but still look professional, we recommend putting your hair in a slick back high ponytail so it is out of your face but will give you a nice lift. Of course make sure you have the correct shoes, read up beforehand to check if you need to bring your heels! This is what we would wear to

Move Dance Lorien Zip Crop Top

Featuring a zip at the front and cut out details at the back

Move Dance Priya Leggings

With a flattering fit and mesh panel details. Designed for ease of movement and to give you a confidence boost as you step into that audition.

Contemporary

In a contemporary audition you are likely to be doing a lot of floor work, therefore we would recommend wearing clothing that will protect your knees and elbows. You should be able to move freely but also keep your body temperature at a comfortable level. Contemporary is all about being creative and expressive so you want to portray this in your clothes. Being able to express yourself in something that you feel comfortable and confident in is so important in a contemporary audition. It can be hard sometimes to find an outfit that meets these requirements which is why we're here to help you out! Take a look at what we have chosen from the collection for your perfect contemporary look…
