Alleviate recently worked with photographer Dave Nelson in locations around Manchester. Here’s a few of my favourite pictures.
I also went to see Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty a few weeks ago at the Empire Theatre in Liverpool. I would defiantly recommend going to watch it while it is still on tour. His work is so distinct and simply stunning to watch. He still remains one of my favourite choreographers and everytime I see any of his productions his work continues to inspire me. I still can’t believe that in 2011 I was luckily enough to meet him

I have arrived back home, safe and well after a month’s travelling out in Hong Kong and Australia
. I am slowly settling back into UK life but have found it more difficult this time round than with previous trips abroad… Perhaps this is because I was no where near ready to come back home!
I found Hong Kong very interesting as it’s very different to the UK, and I completely fell in love with the chilled and outdoor lifestyle that Australia has to offer. I will definitely be returning sometime in the near future, particularly Sydney, as this was my favourite city out of all the places we visited.
I went travelling with one of my best friends which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The trip was really full on as we did something different and visited new places daily. I also worked with an Australian photographer in Sydney, so I will share some of the photos once I have received the edited versions.
Out of the hundreds of photos I took while travelling, here are a few of my favourite snaps:
Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong
Inside the Chi Lin Buddhist temple, Hong Kong
The pictures everyone has to have; outside the Sydney Opera House and the famous Harbour Bridge…. both are just stunning to look at.
While on the Opera House tour I was luckily enough to sit in on one of the Australian Ballet rehearsals!
Bondi Beach
Snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef really was beautiful, I would highly recommend doing this when visiting Australia, it can’t be missed!
We also visited the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation which I really enjoyed seeing, including a river cruise where we saw crocodiles.
While on our way to the Great Ocean Road I had my first surf lesson in Torquay.
I absolutely loved surfing and will definitely be trying this again when I next get the chance.
Australian dance companies to look out for:

Guys usually don’t like dancing, and are adamant that they can’t do it. However, as “Strictly Come Dancing” has shown, once they give it a go, and find their dance style, they’re just as hooked as us girls.

I have not long got back from an eventful weekend at Move it. Alleviate performed on the Sunday, and as always it was pleasure to be involved and of course great to catch up with friends! It was so lovely to spend time with some of the Edinburgh Flash Mob cast who I have have really missed:
Alleviate with Brosena & Grace Bruce
With Tommy Franzen
I also represented the Institute of the Arts Barcelona, IAB. IAB has been set up by one of my previous Lipa teachers Jennifer Blake.
“Europe’s newest and most innovative international performing arts Institute offering UK validated, foundation programmes and world class vocational BA and MA degrees taught in English. Our mission is to nurture, develop and inspire the next generation of arts leaders and creative performing artists. Our proven methods of delivery promotes collaboration, entrepreneurship, individuality and creativity.”
The school has so much to offer, I would have loved this opportunity to have been available when I was looking into schools for professional training… and it is located only five minutes from the beach! For more information about the school, programmes and summer schools, check out http://www.iabarcelona.com
