1. Ordering

1.1 When you place an order you confirm that all details provided are accurate and you have permission to provide them. You enter a contract with Move when you place an order. Payment will be taken when the order is processed, and the order will be completed as per your selected shipping method. You will receive an email confirming your order, with subsequent emails informing you of dispatch of your goods. Please check all details are correct, including ordered items and address details. 1.2 To place an order through the site you must be 18 years old and have valid card details to a registered bank.

1.3 Payments

You can place an order using a debit/credit card or with a registered Paypal account, by creating a secure account or checking out as a guest. We also accept payment via bank transfer through a pro forma invoice. It is possible to make a pro forma invoice subject to a minimum purchase of £200 / 250€. Orders will only be validated once the pro forma invoice has been paid and cleared in our account.

We occasionally carry out random security checks. This is to ensure that no one uses your data without your consent, or with a stolen or duplicated card. In this instance, we will contact you to request the relevant documentation in order to proceed with your order. We thank you for your patience and understanding of this procedure.

1.4 If you want to add additional items to your order after placing it, please contact Customer Services on +44 845 838 4682 (this is dependent on the status of your order). Unfortunately, if you placed your order using Paypal, you are unable to add on items to the original order. You would have to place a new order through the website or contact Customer Services.

1.5 Shoes:
Some of our dance shoes come in European or American sizes which we convert into English sizings. The size you ordered may not match the size on the box, but it is the correct converted size. Please try on both shoes to check the fit.

1.6 Large orders:
If you are placing a bulk or large order over £200 or 350€, please contact Customer Services to check if you are eligible to receive a discount.

2. Availability

2.1 Move works hard to keep the Site and stock levels up to date. In the event that an item(s) you have ordered is out of stock, we will place an order with our suppliers and ship it to you as soon as possible, with no additional shipping charges. The available items in your order will be shipped to you as normal.

2.2 Move reserves the right to reject or cancel any orders, in the event of:
  • Product out of stock / discontinued
  • Incorrect address / outside of delivery zone (see delivery page for excluded postcodes)
  • Incorrect billing information
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Errors on the website
  • Force majeure

3. Delivery

3.1 We offer different types of shipping methods that are available to you dependent on your location. Please click here to learn about shipping costs and estimated delivery times. In the event of delivery delay, please refer to our delivery page for information on when an item can be declared as missing.

4. Exchanges/Returns

4.1 How do you return items?
Please use the online returns process to register your return before sending any items back to us. If you have created an account with us, you can access your order history and select the items from an order you wish to return.

If you are returning items for a refund, the amount will be credited back to the original payment method. If you would like to exchange an item for a different size or colour, the replacement item will be shipped to you free of charge. (Please note, an additional standard postage charge will apply for any items exchanged more than once within a single order).

If you are unable to print the returns form, please enclose your original invoice or a cover note specifying the order number, which items you wish to be returned or exchanged, and why. For your reference, here are the exchange/returns reasons:

Customers are responsible for paying return shipping costs. We advise you to keep a proof of postage receipt for all orders that you return to us. You will be held liable for lost packages if you do not have proof of postage. You are liable for any damage that occurs to returns whilst in transit from you to our warehouse.

If you are returning your entire order for a refund within 14 days of receipt, you must notify us via email ([email protected]) to be eligible for reimbursement of the order's shipping costs. We will only reimburse shipping costs for complete orders that are returned, not a return of a partial order.

4.3 What can you return?
Return any unworn items that are in a re-saleable condition for a refund or exchange within 28 (UK) or 40 days (Europe and Worldwide). Items returned that are not in a re-saleable condition, or eligible for return, will be posted back to you.

  • Items in their original packaging and with labels attached.
  • Tights and underwear must be returned in unopened packaging.
  • CDs and DVDs must be in their original unopened packaging.

4.4 What can you not return?
To check whether an item is eligible for return, please check the product description.

  • For hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept tights and underwear back for refund or exchange if the packaging has been opened.
  • All made to order items cannot be returned or exchanged.

4.5 Faulty/Incorrect items
If you have received a faulty or incorrect item, please contact Customer Services before registering your return online so they can inform you of the returns process.

4.6 How long to process a return?
Your returns will be received and processed within 10 business days (UK) or 15 (Europe and Worldwide). If you return your order via a priority service, we will not be able to process it as a priority.

If you are due a refund, the funds will be available in your account within 3-5 business days. Paypal funds will be available immediately after processing your return. If you have requested an exchange, we will dispatch the replacement item(s) upon processing your return. In the unlikely event that your requested replacement item is unavailable, you will be issued with a refund.

This does not affect your rights.

5. Prices, Taxes and Other Costs

You may be liable for import duty when receiving goods, however currently the USA operates a policy of no additional duties when orders are under $800 in value. There are no Move Online Retail Ltd. operations within the USA, no state sales taxes should apply.
Rest of Europe 20% or 0% The prices displayed include a 0% VAT for children's clothing and books and 20% for all other products.
Rest of World None Prices displayed do not include VAT or sales taxes. You may be required to pay import duties when you receive goods.
The amount of tax added onto the price of products will be calculated based on your delivery address, so please be aware that the price may change when you enter your address. For example, when you order a product on our English website but enter a German delivery address at the checkout, the price of products will change into euros with any applicable taxes added.

All possible customs and import charges are payable by customers outside of Europe. It is not the responsibility of Move to calculate customs and import charges, but rather it is the customer's responsibility to inquire about these charges in the delivery country.

6. For our Swiss customers

Please be aware that import or customs charges may apply. These costs are not our responsibility to calculate and are therefore not included in our prices. It is your responsibility to pay any customs or import charges when receiving your order, and also when receiving any subsequent exchanges. Please speak with your local post office to establish whether you are eligible or not for a reimbursement of costs when returning goods. You can make an application for a reimbursement of charges from your customs charges, but processing fees will apply. Contact your local post office or customs office for more information.

7. Dance Teachers General Terms and Conditions

  • To join the Dance Teacher Discount Scheme, you must be a registered dance teacher or registered dance school owner. Verification will be required.
  • If you stop teaching or leave the profession, you will no longer be able to use your account.
  • The Scheme and any other discount may be cancelled at any time without notice.
  • Teachers outside of UK, France and Germany must spend over £100/120€ (excluding VAT) to get the teachers' discount.
  • Although our return policy is straightforward, when dealing with items sold to companies or independent dance teachers, the Consumer Contracts Regulations do not apply.
7.2 Discount Rate
  • You will receive a 10% discount (20% Move Dance) on standard selling prices, before any special offers, such as items that may be on sale. Teachers do not receive discount on ballet packs and all other multipacks.
  • Orders over £1000/1200€ will be eligible for additional discounts. Contact Customer Service for details.
  • Retail special offers are not available to members of The Scheme.
7.3 Delivery
  • The Scheme operates with free delivery to addresses in the *UK, Germany and France. *For UK free delivery, you must spend minimum £30, for Germany and France deliveries there is no minimum spend.
  • Fast delivery and carrier services available at reduced prices. Shipping and delivery times are indicated on our delivery page.
7.4 Special / Important Orders
  • If you are ordering a large quantity of the same item that we usually hold low stock of, please be aware that we may have to specially order these in from our suppliers. If you then decide to cancel, or return part or all of the order, you may be liable to pay a return-on-stock charge (25% of your order amount). This excludes made to order items as they are strictly non-returnable.
7.5 Price and VAT
  • On the Site, prices are displayed with or excluding VAT.
  • VAT will be applied to all transactions at the time of purchase and will be clearly visible in your shopping cart and on the checkout page. If you have a VAT number you can claim VAT at your tax office.
7.6 Account and Contact data
  • We will send you, by email, promotional offers exclusively for teachers if you have subscribed to the Move Dance Teachers newsletter when creating your account. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of the email.
  • From time to time, we will send you advertising letters, if you do not wish to receive them please specify it by email to the following address: [email protected]
  • Your login details are strictly confidential. We do not have access to your password. If you want to change your password, please do so through the login page. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new one through the login page. You have the responsibility to keep your information confidential. If you provide your account details to a third party who makes fraudulent use of it, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel your account. 5.2 We make every effort to ensure the security of your information. We work tirelessly and vigilantly to protect your data. In order to prevent unauthorised access or data leakage, we have implemented appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the data we collect online.

5.3 We protect your data through secure transactions and never sharing your billing details with third parties. We use Sage Pay to process transactions made with a credit/debit card.

5.4 We invite you to limit the collection or use of your personal data as follows:
