Move Dance is an independent UK based company of 50 plus people built on the values of performance, dynamism, empowerment and passion. We are Europe's biggest and leading dancewear retailer with a passion for providing our dancers, teachers, and gymnasts with quality dance apparel since 2007. We're still growing strongly after our 10th year in 2017, and now serve over 100 countries worldwide with dancewear by over 40 brands. We believe we're dynamic because we're constantly evolving to offer new products and services to meet the demands and needs of our customers, which in turn makes us stand out from other dancewear retailers. It's our mission to offer the widest range of innovative dancewear to our customers, coupled with the best standards of service. Our responsive, efficient, and friendly customer support works in harmony with our straightforward online shopping process and the high performance of our products. We developed our own brands Move Dance and Alegra, and have now added a dance fitness line and gymnastics range. We source our products and suppliers from all over the globe to offer a range of unique and versatile apparel to our dancers. Our dancers are empowered because Move Dance clothing gives them the confidence to feel and perform better in a product they can trust. We're passionate about celebrating and supporting the skill and dedication of our dancers and vow to always support the dancer by ensuring remarkable value for hobbyists, students, teachers, and professionals alike as they practise dance.

What we do and how we do it
1) Product development:Our in-house designer creates our Move Dance and Alegra products through meticulous market research and expert knowledge. We work closely with our models and other dancers within the industry to understand what's important to them in their dancewear.
We carefully select our manufacturers then visit our factories to ensure the highest standard of garment. The best performing fabrics are selected to suit the functionality of the product, but we also seek out new and innovative fabrics to manufacture. The product development team watch over the lifecycle of our products, starting with their conception to final quality assurance checks.
Quality assurance ensures that all products that we sell - particularly under the Move Dance and Alegra brands - have the intended fit, fabric, colours and follow a critical path to guarantee that the product life cycle is approved to the company's standards and procedures. We confirm this through fabric and factory inspections, and our in-house quality control team. The team also monitors returns rate and customer reviews to understand customers' expectations of fit and quality, then uses this knowledge to improve styles when we repeat their manufacturing.
2) Buying:Our buying team has worked closely with trusted suppliers over the years, and is often approached to establish links with new suppliers globally. The team strives to find products that meet the demands of our dancers at the best value and quality. We only work with manufacturers who are the best at what they do and regularly sample their products for quality assurance.
Our buyers tailor their range hunts to key areas of our customers' interests. They're always looking to add new, exciting lines and products to our range to cater for all dance styles, ages, and genders. The products that we offer are always on-trend at competitive prices. Attending trade fairs, loving dance, and being in constant touch with dancers and suppliers ensures that we always know what's hot.
3) Fulfilment team:The fulfilment team spring into action when we receive an order to add the final touches before shipping. They carefully and accurately pick and pack our dancers' purchases, and are motivated to get the customer's order to them as quickly and efficiently as possible. Every team member cares about the quality of the packaged product, ensuring they get every aspect of the order right, and on average dispatching all orders well within 24 hours. To make sure we always meet the needs of our dancers, we carry deep stock levels to ensure first pick availability.
We only choose reliable delivery partners that offer the best standard of service for our parcels' destinations such as Royal Mail, DHL, DPD and Colissimo. The speed of delivery is determined by the type of service chosen, yet our customers always have the choice for fast delivery. The team have constant communication with our couriers so we always know the status of orders, and some couriers that we work with also offer order updates through text messages to customers directly. In the event of returns, the team responds efficiently within our specified returns period, and secures the desired outcome for the customer.
4) Service:Our Customer Services department is bursting with a passion for dance, built up of a team of dance teachers and dancers. The friendly and multilingual team is committed to helping through multi contact channels, providing quick and helpful support with order and return queries. There's even a dedicated teacher hotline and order support for larger transactions. Liaising on a daily basis with the warehouse staff and courier services means customers are always kept up-to-date on the status of their orders. Close relationships with the warehouse and buyers ensures that feedback is meaningfully received and actioned. This is because we believe that the needs of our customers are best met by actually listening to them to create a product they love.
The team's in-depth product knowledge means that they're able to offer the best advice on products, aiming to always go the extra mile - even if it means trying on a shoe whilst on the phone to answer a customer's question!
