5 Easter Dance Activities For Your Little Dancers!

If you’re looking for something to get up to this Easter weekend after completing our virtual Easter egg hunt (coming soon), then we can help! We’ve thrown together some Easter dance activities to spend your long weekend, with some great stuff added in as well that’s on after Easter weekend. We're all about the Spring season fun! Don’t just put all of your (Easter) eggs in one basket! Here's the list of fun Easter dance activities! 

1) The Refuge - Manchester

1 April

First on our Easter dance activities is a family disco at The Refuge! Let your kids blow off some steam dancing at the family disco, run by the Playhouse Project with a soundtrack by Lil’ Fi from The Whip. Find out more here.

2) See a Show

There are some world-renowned shows on in London this Easter. Here are just a few that we're eggcited for! 

• Lion King
• Wicked
• Aladdin
• Matilda

3) Go to a Dance Class

Have your kids hop along to a week long intensive hip hop dance course at Sunshine studios in Bolton. Click here to find out more. There's another dance class going on at Dance City Easter School in the North East from Tuesday 10th April for 6-16 year olds if your little dancer just can't get enough dance! We obviously adore dance, but it's also the perfect way for your kids to burn off all that sugar this Easter!

4) Underbelly Festival - Southbank

From 6 April to 30 September

Our next fun Easter dance activties is The Underbelly Festival! The fabulous Underbelly Festival kicks off al-fresco live comedy, theatre and dance fun this Easter for its 10th year running! Circus performances by troupes like Circus Abyssinia, Elixir, and Circolombia will feature, along with a Cabaret show by Circa later in the year and lots of other family-friendly dance shows. One that we’re particularly looking forward to is an acrobatics show by SOAP that’s running from May. There’s a bit of adult only fun to be had here as well at what’s been dubbed as “one of London’s biggest outdoor bars” by Visit London.

5) Sadler's Wells - London

14-15 April

Last on the list for some Easter dance activity fun takes place at Sadler Wells! Sadler's Wells “annual mini festival” is happening the week after Easter. If you haven't heard of it, then you're definitely missing out! It showcases fun for the whole family, with activities like arts and crafts but also some dance related events we know your little dancers will love. Arcaladanza are centre-stage with their famous show Vuelos that we didn't manage to catch last year at Edinburgh Fringe Festival - so please let us know what you think! Your little dancers can also become a choreographer for the day with Casson & Friends, a super fun Easter dance activity they will love. Love folk dancing? See some traditional ceilidh dancing this April in London!
